We are currently seeking a Casual Grounds & Housekeeping/Amenities All-Rounder to join our team.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Casual Grounds & Housekeeping/Amenities All-Rounder to join the team at Shoalhaven Heads Village.

This is a varied, hands-on role with a strong focus on grounds maintenance, gardening and overall site presentation, while also assisting with housekeeping, amenities and cleaning duties as required.

You'll play an important part in ensuring the village grounds, facilities and shared areas are clean, safe and presented to a high standard. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, variety and being part of a supportive team.

The role includes a combination of midweek and weekend shifts, with hours varying based on operational requirements.

Responsibilities

Grounds & Maintenance

  • Mow, whipper snip and maintain lawns, gardens and outdoor areas
  • Undertake general planting, mulching, weeding and garden maintenance
  • Assist with general repairs, labouring and property maintenance tasks
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe and good working order
  • Assist with basic swimming pool maintenance and water quality checks
  • Maintain the presentation of grounds, facilities and common areas
  • Identify and report maintenance, damage or safety issues to management
  • Support the overall upkeep and presentation of the village
  • Clean accommodation, amenities and shared facilities to a high standard
  • Assist with housekeeping and cleaning duties as required
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of communal areas
  • Restock cleaning products, supplies and amenities as required
  • Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored appropriately
  • Ensure areas are clean, safe and ready for residents and guests

Customer Service

  • Provide friendly and helpful assistance to residents and guests
  • Respond to enquiries professionally and courteously
  • Contribute to a welcoming and positive community environment

ABOUT YOU

To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, property upkeep, housekeeping or cleaning
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to work across a variety of duties
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness to undertake the requirements of the role
  • A strong eye for detail and pride in maintaining high standards
  • The ability to work efficiently and manage your time effectively
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A reliable and flexible approach to work
  • Good communication and interpersonal skillsA commitment to safe work practices
  • Flexibility to work a combination of midweek and weekend shifts
  • A current driver's licence (preferred)
  • Availability for an immediate start will be highly regarded

REMUNERATION

The rate of pay for this role will be in accordance with the applicable Award.
