About the role
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Office Reception to join our team at our Rhodes NSW location on a full-time basis. As Office Reception, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, visitors and contractors. This position is essential to the smooth operation of our office and directly contributes to maintaining our reputation for excellent customer service and professional standards. You will manage the reception area, answer enquiries and coordinate communications across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and welcome all visitors, clients and contractors with professionalism and courtesy
- Answer, screen and direct incoming telephone calls and emails to appropriate staff members
- Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organised and presents a professional image
- Schedule and manage appointments, meetings and conference room bookings
- Process and manage mail, parcels and deliveries
- Maintain accurate records and databases of visitor information and client contacts
- Provide administrative support to various departments as required
- Handle enquiries regarding services and direct callers to the appropriate department
- Manage reception desk operations including operating switchboard systems and reception equipment
- Assist with general office duties including filing, photocopying and document preparation
What we're looking for
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
- Professional presentation and a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Experience in a reception or customer-facing role within a busy office environment
- Proficiency with telephone systems, switchboards and standard office software including Microsoft Office
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Reliable, punctual and demonstrates a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in the construction, building or related industry is advantageous
