Job description

Light mechanical assembly and testing | Boronia

Are you a Fitter and Turner, Mechanical Assembler or Trades Assistant looking for a cleaner, lighter and less physically demanding role?

NET Automation is an established Australian-owned industrial automation company and the distributor for Camozzi Automation. We are seeking a practical, detail-focused Manufacturing Technician to join our Knoxfield team.

The role

You will assemble and test pneumatic control boxes and components in a clean, organised workshop environment.

  • Assembling systems from technical drawings and procedures
  • Fitting pneumatic components, tubing and hardware
  • Testing, troubleshooting and repairing assemblies
  • Inspecting components and recording test results
  • Reading drawings and recommending practical improvements
  • Assisting with light warehouse and stock-handling duties
  • Maintaining a safe and organised work area

This is a varied technical role, not heavy fabrication or repetitive production-line work.

About you

You will ideally have experience as a Fitter and Turner, Trades Assistant, Mechanical Assembler, Maintenance Fitter or Workshop Technician.

You will also have:

  • Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
  • Experience using hand tools
  • The ability to read technical drawings and instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
  • The ability to work independently and within a small team
  • Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn
  • Experience with pneumatics, mechanical assembly, testing, CAD or clean-room work is desirable but not essential. Product training will be provided.
