Accounts Payable Clerk

What you will be responsible for:

• End-to-end accounts payable management.
• Confident liaising with internal stakeholders and external clients.
• Process medium volume of invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to approval workflows.
• Resolve discrepancies or delays promptly by collaborating with the procurement and project teams.
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
• Assist with period-end reconciliations, audit preparations, and compliance reporting
• Maintain data integrity for vendor records and contribute to improving processes.
• Other adhoc/admin tasks to support the broader finance team.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role (experience in construction or a related field is a bonus)
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle volumes of transactions accurately and efficiently
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, with a problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with internal teams and vendors.
• A proactive, collaborative attitude and a passion for learning and development.
• Formal accounting qualification and background are preferred.
• Experience working with accounting software MYOB, Workbench is advantageous.

This position plays an important role in our finance team in maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The role also provides significant opportunity to learn new processes, develop additional skills and broaden experience within a finance function that is continuing to evolve and improve its systems and processes
