About the company Our client is an established, owner-involved family business near Mungindi. Its integrated operation combines a substantial dryland grain and pulse program with modern machinery, practical systems and support from contractors and specialist service providers.
About the role Oversee day-to-day delivery of a 25,000-acre dryland cropping program across six farms near Mungindi. Coordinate people, contractors, machinery and inputs from planting through harvest, with ownership support and increasing responsibility as capability and trust develop. Coordinate planting, spraying, in-crop management and harvest programs. Supervise staff, seasonal labour, contractors and machinery movements. Manage machinery readiness, routine maintenance and minor repairs. Liaise with agronomists and organise seed, fuel and chemical inputs. Monitor grain handling, on-farm storage and operational records.
Skills & experience
- Extensive broadacre dryland cropping experience.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and minor repair skills.
- Proven people and seasonal work coordination.
- Sound spraying and precision farming knowledge; chemical ticket desirable.
- Competent computer, data and farm record skills.
