Employment Type: Permanent/Temporary Full/Part-Time (minimum 24 up to 38 hours per week) and Casual

Remuneration: $34.72 per hour+ 12% Superannuation + Salary Packaging

As a Health and Security Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting patient care, maintaining a safe environment, and contributing to the smooth operation of hospital services while working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team

  • Contribute to patient care through transfers, patient assistance and a range of ward support duties.
  • Play a key role in maintaining the safety and security of patients, visitors and staff through patrols, emergency response and access control activities.
  • Utilise and further develop your skills in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary teams committed to delivering high-quality healthcare and support services.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

  • Must hold a current Security License with the NSW Security Industry 1997 Class 1A and a current First Aid Certificate.
  • Demonstrate your experience working in a large and complex security operation. Include examples of incident management, stakeholder engagement, and contributions to maintaining a safe environment.
  • Describe a situation where you successfully managed a challenging interaction involving a patient, visitor, staff member, or member of the public. What actions did you take and what was the outcome?

Do you have a current Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2)? if you hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
