As the Pastoral Care Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the patient experience by ensuring spiritual, emotional and pastoral support is accessible to people of all faiths, cultures and backgrounds. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, community faith leaders and volunteers, you'll help create an environment where every person feels respected, valued and supported throughout their healthcare journey.

What you'll be doing
This is an exciting leadership opportunity to coordinate and develop the Pastoral Care Volunteer Program across two busy hospital campuses. You will lead volunteer recruitment, education and supervision while promoting best practice pastoral care that supports the physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing of patients, families and staff.

Lead the day-to-day coordination, recruitment, education and supervision of the Pastoral Care Volunteer workforce.

Promote contemporary pastoral care practices and champion the value of spiritual care within the healthcare setting.

Coordinate volunteer rosters, training, performance development and compliance with NSW Health requirements.

Foster collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary teams and representatives from diverse faiths and cultural communities.

Monitor service performance, analyse activity data and identify opportunities to strengthen and improve pastoral care services.

Qualification: One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent
