Right At Home is hiring a Casual Massage Therapist role in Sydney Central and Eastern Suburbs.

About the role

We are seeking a Massage Therapist to join our team, providing on-site / home-based services. You will be responsible for conducting client assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering high-quality therapeutic massage treatments appropriate to individual client needs. This involves using a range of manual techniques, such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release, to address musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction while maintaining accurate client records, including treatment plans and progress reports. You will also provide clients with rehabilitation advice, including stretching exercises and relaxation techniques. Continuing professional development is encouraged to stay updated with the latest techniques and therapies. This role is available for casual employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough, gentle physical assessments taking into account the complex medical histories of residents.
  • Deliver specialised geriatric, remedial, or relaxation massage techniques adapted for fragile skin and joint sensitivity.
  • Support residents living with chronic conditions (e.g., arthritis, dementia, Parkinson's) to manage pain and reduce anxiety.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation and progress notes in line with Aged Care Quality Standards.

Qualifications and Requirements (must haves)

Certificate IV in Massage Therapy orDiploma of Remedial Massage

Membership with the Australian Association ofMassageTherapists (AAMT)

Professional Indemnity Insurance

Updated CV/Resume with (2 Referees)

Visa and Passport or Proof of Australian Citizenship

Photo Card

National Crime Record Check/Australian Federal Police Check

Driver's license, Car registration, and Car Insurance

First Aid and CPR Certificate

Proof of COVID vaccination

Proof of immunisation

WWCC

NDIS Clearance

  • Experience and expertise in aged care massage is preferred
  • Experience in conducting physical assessments, developing care plans, and implementing evidence-based clinical intervention
  • Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interaction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
