Territory Manager - Civil Construction

Build a territory from the ground up

A well-established Australian manufacturer is looking for a Territory Manager to grow its business across South Australia. The brand is known, the product range is strong, and SA has plenty of room for growth. What it needs now is someone who will get out there, open doors and win new customers. You'll work from home in Adelaide with full ownership of the territory, backed by a national sales team and a business that is growing well ahead of budget.

About the business

The company is privately owned and has manufactured products for Australian industry for many years. Its customers are in mining and resources, civil and infrastructure, irrigation and building. It's commercially sharp, decisions are made quickly, and good performance gets noticed.

What you'll be doing

• Finding and winning new customers across SA. This is the main focus of the role.
• Mapping the territory: who's buying, who's specifying and who you should be talking to
• Following up quotes, responding to tenders and winning projects
• Growing and looking after existing accounts and distributor relationships
• Travelling regionally, including mining and resources centres
• Keeping the CRM current and reporting monthly on pipeline and sales

What we're looking for

• A proven record of winning new business in B2B technical or industrial sales. We'll ask for numbers.
• Experience in a remote, self-managed role where you set your own week and deliver results without someone looking over your shoulder
• Background in utilities, infrastructure, civil, construction, building products or tender-based sales is ideal
• You don't need to know this particular industry. If you're bright, commercially sharp and can do business development, you'll get full product training.
• You're organised and turn up to every meeting prepared
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel across SA
