Dispatch and Stores Coordinator

Polyweld is a family business that makes printed side curtains for truck and semi-trailer operators, as well as tarpaulins and industrial textile products. The company seeks a hands-on coordinator to manage dispatch and stores, and to ensure customers' orders leave on time. The coordinator will build working relationships with staff so that work flows to meet promised dispatch dates. They will work with the GM and others to keep work on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Managing dispatch and stores.
• Working with staff, the GM and others to keep work on schedule for promised dispatch dates.
• Keeping all storage areas well organised, clearly labelled and tidy.
• Learning the existing stock storage locations and labelling arrangements.
• Working with staff to deal with items that are out of place or abandoned.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Booking collection of outward goods.
• Inspecting and putting away inward goods, checking that quality, quantity and price match the order and technical drawings.
• Keeping accurate stock records and an orderly file of component drawings.

About you

• Experience in dispatch, stores or a similar hands-on role.
• Organised, reliable and able to work well with people.
• Takes responsibility, follows through and earns the team's respect by doing the work themselves.
• Holds a current forklift licence.
• Can read technical drawings.
