Duties
Conduct vehicle and asset movement
Construct, alter, and repair tipper body and chassis components.
Accurately build to job card specifications and drawings.
Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings, specifications, scopes of work and scheduling.
Understand fundamentals of fabrication and air control systems for heavy trailers
Understand EBS braking and trailer electrical
Training and overseeing all employees in area including monitoring attendance of crew.
Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans set by operations manager to acquit production schedule.
Maintains high-quality servicing and repairs and minimizes comebacks.
Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality
Accounts for all documents; ensures that none are missing, and all are processed correctly.
Monitors shop condition, including cleanliness, safety and the condition of shop equipment.
General
Follows Work Health and Safety (WH&S) guidelines as well as company policies and procedures
Other duties deemed suitable with position as required
Minimum 5+ years trailer building experience
Experience managing teams
High computer literacy required
