About National Trust Queensland and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
The National Trust of Australia (Queensland) (NTAQ) is a membership-based environmental charity that connects people to significant places, collections and stories. NTAQ manages a diverse portfolio of wildlife, tourism and heritage assets, including Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and the award-winning Astra Lumina night walk. The Sanctuary is one of Queensland’s earliest nature-based tourist destinations and is in the Queensland Tourism Awards Hall of Fame. It is a physical embodiment of NTAQ’s mission: to conserve and advance our natural and cultural heritage for future generations.
Membership is one of the biggest ways locals connect with the Sanctuary. We’re looking for a Marketing Coordinator - Loyalty and Partnerships to help our membership program thrive.
About the Role
This is a hands-on marketing role where you’ll bring the membership plan to life. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, you’ll be planning promotions, writing and sending the emails and SMS that keep Members engaged, and working with partners to create offers people love.
You’ll work with teams right across the organisation and you’ll get to see how a major attraction really runs. On a busy day you might swap your desk for the Sanctuary and help Guest Services activate one of your members offers in person.
In a typical month you might:
- Launch a member promotion, from the idea and the T&Cs to the web page, products and communication
- Build and send email and SMS campaigns, and help set up automated welcome and renewal journeys in the CRM
- Establish a new partner deal and promote it to staff, members and visitors
- Run a member competition, from entries through to calling the winner
- Monitor and report on renewals, new Members and attrition, with insights reaching all the way to the Board & Senior Management
- Test a new AI tool, product or system that saves the team time
- Help a member navigate our website then learn from what they have told you to help the team improve the customer journey.
It’s a 32-hour week, which leaves plenty of time to enjoy living on the Gold Coast
About You
- A degree in marketing, communications, business or similar, or relevant marketing experience
- An understanding of, or passion for, loyalty and membership marketing
- Hands-on experience creating email, or digital campaigns (an internship counts)
- Experience with a CRM or marketing automation platform (such as HubSpot), website content management or ticketing systems (highly regarded, not essential)
- Comfortable with numbers, Excel and reporting, and curiosity about what the data is telling you
- Strong writing and proofreading skills, and an eye for detail
- An interest in using AI tools and automation to work smarter
- Administration or Customer Service skills and confidence to talk to our members
- Comfort working in an environment that includes native wildlife such as birds and reptiles
- Initiative-led and confident sharing new ideas and ways of doing things
