ICT Systems Test Engineer – Telecommunications / 5G – Australia

Job Description:

1. Plan, prepare and execute test scenarios for mobile telecommunications systems, devices and modem technologies.
2. Perform functional, regression, reliability, sanity, KPI and performance testing.
3. Test and validate 5G NR SA/NSA, LTE, IMS, VoNR, VoLTE and EPS Fallback functionality.
4. Perform modem protocol testing and validate device behaviour under different network conditions.
5. Conduct mobility, throughput and handover testing across varying RF environments.
6. Analyse modem and system logs to identify technical issues and performance problems.
7. Use diagnostic and log-analysis tools such as QXDM, QCAT or equivalent tools.
8. Investigate defects, perform root-cause analysis and prepare detailed defect reports.
9. Validate mobile devices and modem platforms, including Qualcomm and MediaTek-based technologies.
10. Execute test cases on pre-release and post-release software builds.
11. Work with engineering, development and carrier teams to investigate and resolve technical issues.
12. Document test results, technical findings, defects and recommendations.
13. Support automation of test scenarios to improve test coverage and efficiency.
14. Coordinate testing activities and ensure project deliverables are completed within required timelines.
