We are now seeking a Cable Jointerto join our growing team at our Pakenham Depot.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Cable Jointer you will be required to install, maintain, and repair high and low voltage power cables that form the backbone of electrical distribution networks. You will be highly skilled in connecting insulated power cables in underground trenches, conduits, or substations, and prepare cable ends (terminations) for equipment like transformers and switchgear. You will ensure proper excavation procedures are followed while adhering to safety standards. Install, route, and secure cables in accordance with design plans, engineering drawings, and client specifications. You will work closely with other construction personnel including Construction Managers, Team Leaders and Installers, to ensure smooth coordination and timely project completion. Additionally, a willingness to adhere to all UCS Group and site-specific safety policies, ensuring personal and team safety during all activities. You will be hardworking, dedicated and a team player with a ‘can do attitude’.

Qualifications and Licenses:

  • Drivers Licence Essential
  • Industry White Card Essential
  • Forklift Licence Desirable
