Our client, a reputable and highly regarded interior design firm, is currently seeking a thorough and experienced HR Manager to join their esteemed Sydney Studio.

Within this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing all people-related processes, shaping the vision and strategy across the company. You will work to foster a positive and engagement work environment while driving the company’s strategic HR initiatives forward. This role demands a high level of autonomy, requiring you to demonstrate exceptional decision-making capabilities and self-direction.

\n

Key Responsibilities: \n

    \n
  • Oversee the entire recruitment process including advertising, interviewing, and selection
  • \n
  • Handle all aspects of employee documentation e.g. job contracts and offer letters
  • \n
  • Facilitate smooth onboarding for new hires
  • \n
  • Develop and implement comprehensive HR policies and procedures
  • \n
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals and provide support to managers in this process
  • \n
  • Manage and monitor employee absences
  • \n
  • Handle disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • \n
  • Collaborate with departments to create and implement strategic HR plans aligned with business goals
  • \n
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and ensure compliance
  • \n
  • Maintain regular communication with the HR Assistant
  • \n
  • Provide weekly updates to the global management team
  • \n

Key Skills/Requirements: \n

    \n
  • Extensive experience working within a HR context
  • \n
  • Proficient in HR principles and practices with a comprehensive understanding of employment law and compliance
  • \n
  • Expert in effectively managing redundancies, disciplinaries, grievances, and performance-related matters
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • \n
  • Adaptable and capable of handling highly confidential information with sensitivity and discretion
  • \n
