ABOUT THE ROLE
As Chobani continues to invest in the growth and expansion of our Dandenong South manufacturing facility, we're looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter – Services & Facilities to join our high-performing Operations team.
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in maintaining the critical utilities and infrastructure that keep one of Australia’s leading food manufacturing facilities operating safely, efficiently and reliably.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety & Compliance
- Champion a safety-first culture and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Adhere to site safety procedures including LOTO, permit-to-work, confined space and hot work requirements.
- Participate in risk assessments, hazard identification and continuous safety improvements.
- Support contractor and emergency response activities as required.
Utilities & Facilities Maintenance
- Perform preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance across site utilities and infrastructure.
- Maintain and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration, boilers, compressed air, HVAC, water treatment and wastewater systems.
- Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, pneumatic and automated equipment.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.
- Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, beverage, pharmaceutical or industrial environments.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability.
Experience maintaining utilities and services equipment such as refrigeration systems, boilers, compressed air, HVAC, water treatment or wastewater systems is highly regarded.
Experience using MEX, SAP or other CMMS systems.
A proactive approach to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with operators, contractors and internal stakeholders.
Flexibility to support both planned and reactive maintenance activities.
