We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a highly motived individual to join our Melbourne team as a Product Manager across retail gaming and/or audio.
About the role:
We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of leading consumer products across the retail experienced with gaming and/or audio sectors.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands the complete product lifecycle — from product selection, vendor management and sourcing through to pricing, inventory, marketing, sales support and revenue growth.
You’ll work closely with key suppliers, internal sales and marketing teams, and retail customers to identify market opportunities, launch new products and maximise the performance of an established product portfolio.
Your main responsibilities will be:
In this role, you'll be responsible for the commercial performance and day-to-day management of a product portfolio, including:
Own the commercial performance, growth and day-to-day management of the product portfolio, including revenue, gross profit and commercial targets.
Develop product and category strategies, identifying new products, brands and opportunities aligned to market trends, customer demand and business priorities.
Build and manage strong relationships with brand vendors, suppliers, retail customers and internal sales teams to drive distribution and portfolio growth.
Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from sourcing and pricing through to forecasting, inventory management, launches and ongoing portfolio optimisation.
Develop pricing strategies and analyse market trends, competitor activity, consumer demand and product positioning to identify growth opportunities.
Manage inventory planning, forecasting, stock allocation and product availability, working with vendors and internal teams to resolve supply, quality and customer issues.
Lead product launches, promotions, marketing initiatives and sales enablement, providing product content, category expertise and training to internal teams and customers.
Provide accurate commercial, sales, inventory and market reporting, using insights to support decision-making and maximise portfolio performance.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum 2-4 years’ experience working in a Product Management, Category Management or Vendor Management role; preferably within a reputable distributor, retailer or consumer product business
Strong understanding of the retail and consumer products environment.
Demonstrated experience with gaming products, gaming accessories and/or audio products will be highly regarded
Experience managing a product portfolio from selection and sourcing through to pricing, marketing, sales and inventory management.
Experience working directly with vendors, distributors, retailers and key accounts.
Strong commercial understanding, including pricing, margin, revenue and budget management.
Ability to analyse competitor products, market trends and customer requirements.
Experience forecasting and managing inventory and stock turnover.
Confidence presenting products and delivering product training to sales teams.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A proactive, commercially minded approach with the ability to identify opportunities and turn them into results.
A team-oriented attitude and willingness to support the broader business.
A current Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle are essential.
