Does the fast pace of a Surgical Unitappeal to you? Royal North Shore Hospital'sColorectal, Upper GIand Gastroenterology Ward is looking for Registered Nurses to join their dynamic nursing team. Positions are being offered on a Full or Part time temporarybasis.

Ward 8B has a strong focus on multidisciplinary team work, with cross referrals between the physicians and surgeons, and daily team meetings.The Ward is supported by enthusiastic nursing staff, a variety of allied health professionals, Clinical Nurse Consultants for Stomal Therapy and Total Parenteral Nutrition, and a Ward Based Clinical Nurse Educator. The senior staff on Ward 8B includes Clinical Nurse Specialists. Staff are provided with a supportive environment, and are encouraged to extend their skills. We also provide a Structured Orientation and Preceptorship program. A Stomal Therapy Certificate course is offered through the NSW College of Nursing.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Current experience in an acute hospital environment.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.

Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
