About the role \n

As an HC/MC Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight across metropolitan.

\n

Your responsibilities will include:

\n

\n
• Safely operating HC/MC heavy vehicles
\n
• Collecting and delivering import/export containers
\n
• Completing daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects
\n
• Ensuring loads are secured in accordance with load restraint requirements
\n
• Maintaining accurate paperwork, including container numbers and seals
\n
• Following Chain of Responsibility (COR), fatigue management and company safety requirements
\n
• Providing professional service to customers and other road users
\n

Required / Preferred Experience & Certifications Container & Wharf Experience \n

\n
• Current MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card) preferred
\n
• Previous wharf and port experience preferred
\n
• Empty container park experience
\n
• Experience collecting and delivering import/export containers
\n
• Good understanding of container procedures, including container numbers, seals and paperwork
\n

Heavy Vehicle / Truck Driving Experience \n

\n
• Current HC or MC licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated
\n
• Strong heavy vehicle driving experience
\n
• Good knowledge of metropolitan and interstate roads and routes
\n
• Clean driving history preferred
\n
• Understanding of Chain of Responsibility (COR) , vehicle safety and load restraint requirements
\n
• Ability to complete daily vehicle inspections and identify and report defects
\n

Fatigue Management \n

\n
• BFM (Basic Fatigue Management) experience/certification preferred
\n
• Experience working within regulated fatigue management requirements
\n
• Understanding of work diary and fatigue recording requirements
\n
• Good understanding of fatigue management and work/rest requirements
\n
• MT DATA experience preferred
\n
