The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to support the leadership of one of Crown Melbourne's bar venues, helping to drive service excellence, team performance and exceptional guest experiences. Working closely with the Bar Manager, you will play a key role in the day-by‑day operation of the venue while developing your leadership skills within one of Australia's leading hospitality businesses. Working alongside passionate hospitality professionals, you will help shape team culture, support operational success and contribute to creating memorable experiences for guests.

We're seeking an enthusiastic hospitality leader who is passionate about food and beverage, thrives in fast‑paced environments and enjoys developing and supporting high‑performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the Bar Manager in leading the day‑to‑day operation of one of Crown Melbourne's bar venues, ensuring exceptional service standards and memorable guest experiences.
• Coach, motivate and develop team members, fostering a positive and engaged workplace culture.
• Drive operational excellence through effective service delivery, outlet readiness and team communication.
• Lead by example on the floor, providing hands‑on support during service and championing Crown's service standards.
• Assist in achieving financial and commercial objectives through labour management, cost control and revenue growth initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with guests to maximise satisfaction and create memorable experiences.
• Support compliance, safety and responsible service requirements while maintaining the highest operational standards.

About You

You are an experienced hospitality professional with a passion for food and beverage and a genuine commitment to service excellence. You bring strong leadership capability, commercial awareness and a collaborative approach that allows both guests and team members to feel valued, supported and engaged.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in an Assistant Bar Manager or Food & Beverage leadership position.
• Experience working within bar, restaurant, hotel or high‑volume hospitality environments.
• Strong understanding of bar operations, team leadership and service delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, develop and inspire diverse hospitality teams.
• Exceptional guest service skills and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience managing service standards, operational compliance and workplace procedures.
