Private Housekeeper - Part Time

We are a busy family of five based in Pakenham, mum, dad, and three children aged 5, 11 and 16, plus a dog. We are looking for a part-time housekeeper to help keep our home clean, organised, and running well.

This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring the home remains clean, organised, and well presented at all times. Most of the week is spent on cleaning, laundry, ironing and keeping the house prepared for school, sport, and busy weeks.

This is a secure, long term position with one household. Whoever takes this role will be in our home, and around all of us, so we are looking for someone we can build a genuine, long term relationship with.

Hours

Part-time, 2 days a week ranging from 4-7 hours per day

Hours can shift from week to week depending on school terms, sport, and family travel, so some flexibility with start and finish times is important.

Cleaning, Laundry and Organisation

Keeping the home clean and well presented consistently to a high standard

Bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, living areas, floors, surfaces, and detail cleaning

All laundry, ironing, linen changes, wardrobes, and seasonal clothing changeovers

Organising cupboards, pantry, storage areas, and household systems

General errands and ad hoc tasks as they come up, including post office trips, collecting purchases, returns, and pick ups

Travel and Additional Duties

Depending on family needs and availability, this role may also include:

House sitting and caring for our dog when we travel

Requirements

Previous experience in a private household, housekeeping, or professional cleaning role is highly desirable

Valid driver's licence

Working With Children Check

Police Check or willingness to obtain
