Chef
Located in Frankston VIC 3199, Roccella Frankston is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to become part of their kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparing, cooking and presenting a range of dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
• Preparing ingredients and ensuring all food is handled, stored and prepared safely and efficiently.
• Monitoring the quality of dishes throughout preparation and presentation.
• Assisting with the preparation of Italian dishes, including pasta, pizza, meat, seafood and other menu items.
• Planning and coordinating food preparation to ensure efficient kitchen service during busy periods.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety throughout the kitchen.
• Monitoring stock levels, assisting with ordering supplies and minimising food waste.
• Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain consistency, quality and efficient service.
• Assisting with menu preparation and contributing to the maintenance of Roccella’s culinary standards.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant food safety, workplace health and safety requirements.
About you:
• At least one year of relevant experience working as a Chef or in a similar commercial kitchen role.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen procedures.
• Experience working with Italian or Mediterranean cuisine will be highly regarded.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistent food quality.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a kitchen team.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
Job Type: Permanent/Full-time
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum
