Storeman -Warehousing

We are an importer of natural stone and tiles and we are seeking a reliable, organised, and self-motivated Warehouse Storeman to take ownership of our warehouse operations. This is more than a traditional storeman role. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, ensuring stock accuracy, maintaining a safe and efficient workspace, and driving high standards across all warehouse functions. While you will report to and work closely with the Daily Operations Coordinator, this position requires someone who can confidently work independently, make sound decisions, and take responsibility for the smooth running of the warehouse when working alone.

Key responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming stock.

Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders efficiently and accurately.

Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stock control procedures.

Organise and optimise warehouse storage locations.

Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely.

May coordinate incoming and outgoing freight with suppliers and transport providers.

Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environment.

Identify and implement improvements to warehouse processes and workflows.

Communicate regularly with the Daily Operations Coordinator to ensure operational priorities are met.

Take ownership of warehouse performance and maintain high operational standards.

About you

Experience in warehouse, stores, or logistics operations.

Comfortable working independently and managing their workload with minimal supervision.

A natural leader who takes initiative and leads by example.

Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

Reliable, accountable, and proactive in solving problems.

Confident communicating with internal teams, suppliers, and freight providers.

Forklift licensed required.

Competent using inventory management systems and basic computer applications.

Physically fit as heavy lifting will be required.
