Essential Skills:
Must be a people person, highly organised, well presented with a history of customer service or sales experience. Confident computer skills (email, electronic medical record software, Microsoft) and work well within a team.
Overview Role:
We are a small Private Hospital in Frenchs Forest, Sydney that specialises in performing sleep studies and initiating patients onto CPAP therapy.
The position is for either one part-time (~32hrs/week) or two part-time (~16hrs/week) CPAP Consultants to work in our Clinic four days a week.
Scheduled hours: Monday 9am-4.30pm, Tuesday 8am-4.30pm , Wednesday 9am-5pm, Thursday 9am-5pm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Consult with patients to establish effective CPAP therapy and manage ongoing treatment issues, including data review, mask fitting, equipment troubleshooting and patient education and support.
Access and interpret CPAP data from cloud-based systems and SD cards, maintain accurate electronic medical records and complete relevant documentation.
Perform infection control procedures, including thermal processing and assembly of CPAP equipment.
Set up and educate paediatric patients and families for home sleep testing, including equipment application and instructions for use. Must have working with children check.
Assist with the sale, rental and supply of CPAP masks and devices.
Communicate with patients by phone and email to monitor treatment progress and provide ongoing support.
Liaise with management, medical and other staff regarding patient care and clinic operations.
Participate in quality control and evaluation activities, routine meetings and in-service education.
Summary:
We are looking for someone who is friendly, approachable and genuinely enjoys helping and interacting with patients. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment.
You will be confident in problem-solving and able to build rapport with patients, providing the support and encouragement they need to successfully establish and maintain CPAP therapy.
Previous experience in customer service, healthcare or sales would be highly regarded. Medical experience is not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided, but an interest in sleep health and patient care will be highly valued.
