An established Chartered Accounting firm is seeking a Senior Accountant or Supervisor to join its Brisbane team. Working with a diverse portfolio of businesses, the firm provides a broad range of services across accounting, taxation and business advisory.
With an experienced and supportive team, strong client relationships and a focus on professional development, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Accountant looking to take the next step in their career, take on greater responsibility and progress towards Manager level.
The Role
- Look after your own client portfolio while leading and developing the junior team.
- Review work prepared by junior accountants and give technical guidance.
- Supervise, mentor and develop team members.
- Help manage workflow, job allocation and deadlines.
- Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts and individuals.
- Manage client relationships across a broad range of industries.
About You
- Around 5+ years of Australian public practice experience (the firm is flexible for the right supervisory background)
- Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior staff
- Strong accounting and tax knowledge
- CA/CPA qualified or progressing
- Confident with clients and a clear communicator
