COBRA MAINTENANCE SERVICES PTY LTD is seeking a skilled 2nd or 3rd year plumbing apprentice to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Wollongong and Sutherland Shire NSW. As a plumbing apprentice 2nd or 3rd year, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality plumbing services to our clients across residential properties. You will work under the supervision of experienced plumbers and qualified tradespeople, developing your technical skills whilst contributing to the successful completion of plumbing projects. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring our clients receive reliable, professional plumbing services.
Key responsibilities
- Installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, fittings and water supply systems
- Completing full bathroom renovations
- Diagnosing plumbing problems and determining appropriate solutions
- Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete plumbing work
- Testing plumbing systems for leaks and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Assisting with the replacement and repair of hot water systems, drainage systems and sanitary ware
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Adhering to health and safety protocols on all job sites
- Communicating effectively with clients, supervisors and team members
- Contributing to continuous improvement in workmanship and efficiency
What we're looking for
- Current 2nd or 3rd year apprenticeship in plumbing
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and plumbing equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Physical fitness and ability to work in various environmental conditions
- Commitment to health and safety practices and willingness to follow company protocols
- Reliability, punctuality and a professional work ethic
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites across the Wollongong and Sutherland Shire regions
