Salary: Offering a pay rate of $33.05 per hour + 25% casual loading + 12% Super + Not-for-profit tax benefits - salary packaging of up to $31,800 per year

About the Role

• Preparation and service of meals ensuring nutritious and wholesome food and variety of food.
• Preparation of special diets and modified diets as required including low salt, diabetic, soft and pureed.
• Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment and dining areas.
• Preparation and service of meals for functions.
• In conjunction with the manager, assist with conducting quarterly internal Food Safety Audits as per Food Safety Plan.
• Support the food and supplies ordering process, receipting and financial reconciliation.

About You

We are looking for:

• Your demonstrated compassion and empathy.
• Your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to ensure the best possible resident experience and teamwork.
• Your experience in catering to modified diets.
• Your ability to work efficiently and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Current knowledge of Food Handling Legislative including HACCP requirements.
• Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery.
• Australian Working Rights.

Compliance

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
