Job Description

The Commercial Hotel, Kingaroy, apart of Waymark Hotels, is seeking a Cook or Chef to join the team! Using only the freshest local produce, our restaurant is well known for its diverse and modern cuisine.

As a Chef / Cook, your daily responsibilities will include: \n

\n
• Assisting our team in maintaining an efficient and proactive kitchen operation across both venues
\n
• Ensuring all meals are of high quality and are prepared on time
\n
• Utilising a variety of fresh, frozen, and prepared ingredients to prepare, cook, and present a range of dishes according to a seasonal menu
\n
• Practicing effective stock rotation and wastage minimisation procedures
\n
• Assisting with menu changes when required
\n

Successful Candidate: To be successful in the role, you will possess the following: \n

\n
• Previous experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen
\n
• Availability to work any hospitality hours
\n
• Ability to work well under a high-pressure environment
\n
• Brilliant communication skills to all team members
\n

Applicants should have formal qualifications and at least 1 years of relevant employment experience or, in the absence of formal qualifications, have at least 3 years of relevant employment experience.

Benefits: The successful candidate will be provided with the following: \n

• Full-time salary between $69,000 - $100,000 + Superannuation depending on experience
