About the role
Be the voice someone hears when they need support most.
We have two part-time opportunities within our Clinical Services Team for Intake & Case Management Officers.
You’ll be one of the first points of contact for people accessing Women’s Health and Equality Queensland (WHEQ) services - providing intake, assessment, brief support, case management and referrals in a safe, supportive and trauma-informed environment.
The two positions have different set rosters:
Position 1 – 17.25 hours per week
Monday: 8:00am – 1:15pm
Tuesday: 8:00am – 1:15pm
Wednesday: 1:00pm – 8:15pm
Position 2 – 17.5 hours per week
Wednesday: 8:00am – 1:15pm
Thursday: 8:00am – 1:15pm
Friday: 12:45pm – 8:15pm

In this role, you will:
Manage intake, risk assessment and safety planning
Provide brief, solution-focused counselling
Coordinate referrals and ongoing support
Support group programs and service delivery
Maintain client records, bookings and follow-ups
About you
You’re calm, empathetic and able to meet people where they’re at - including during high-pressure or emotional moments.
You’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Counselling or Social Work
Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain
Experience (placement or paid) supporting vulnerable clients
Confidence in intake, risk assessment and making referrals
Strong communication skills - especially over the phone
Organised, adaptable and comfortable balancing client work with admin
A genuine commitment to trauma-informed, inclusive and feminist practice
