Used Vehicle Business Manager (Finance & Insurance)
We are looking for a driven and customer-focused Business Manager (Finance & Insurance) to join our dealership team. You will manage the finance and insurance process for customers, helping them find suitable finance and insurance solutions when purchasing a vehicle. Working closely with the Sales team, you will help drive finance and insurance sales while ensuring customers receive a clear, professional and seamless experience. The ideal candidate is confident in negotiating, building strong customer relationships and identifying opportunities to provide suitable finance and insurance products.
What you will be doing:
Manage the end-to-end finance and insurance process for vehicle customers.
Present and sell vehicle finance packages, insurance and other approved protection products.
Understand customers' financial needs and recommend suitable finance solutions based on their circumstances and eligibility.
Work with a panel of lenders and finance providers to identify suitable finance options.
Prepare and submit finance applications accurately and efficiently.
Follow up on finance applications and work with lenders to facilitate timely approvals and settlements.
Maximise finance penetration and F&I product opportunities while maintaining a customer-first approach.
Identify opportunities to introduce additional products such as extended warranties, vehicle protection and other approved aftermarket products.
Negotiate finance and product offerings with customers while maintaining appropriate margins and commercial outcomes.
Work closely with Sales Managers and Vehicle Sales Consultants to identify customers who may require finance or insurance solutions.
Support the Sales team in improving finance penetration and F&I product performance.
Monitor key performance indicators including finance penetration, product penetration, conversion rates, approval rates and gross profit.
Maintain a strong pipeline of finance opportunities and follow up on outstanding applications.
Provide regular performance updates and insights to the General Manager.
What you will need:
Previous experience as a Business Manager, Finance & Insurance Manager, F&I Manager or similar role within the automotive dealership industry.
Strong knowledge of vehicle finance and insurance products.
Demonstrated experience selling finance and F&I products to customers.
Strong negotiation, communication and objection-handling skills.
A proven track record of achieving sales and gross profit targets.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
Good understanding of Australian automotive finance and dealership compliance requirements.
Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Ability to work collaboratively with Sales Managers and Vehicle Sales Consultants.
Strong commercial acumen and ability to balance customer needs with business objectives.
