About the Role
As a Trades Assistant, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople, supporting daily maintenance and operational activities. This is a practical, hands‑on role where you’ll learn on the job and develop valuable skills, with clear pathways for progression over time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting qualified tradespeople with maintenance and repair tasks
- Undertaking greasing, lubrications & condition based monitoring on machinery
- Use of hand and power tools (training provided)
- Basic fault finding and preventative maintenance activities
- Following safety, quality, and operational procedures
About You
This role is perfect for someone who is keen to learn and grow within a large manufacturing organisation.
You’ll bring:
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing, trade or construction environment (highly desirable)
- Available to work Monday to Friday
- Day Shift where you will commence in a temporary capacity (casual pay rate of $35 to $38 per hour inclusive of casual loading + super) with a view to go permanent.
- Flexibility with start times and opportunity to choose to transfer to Afternoon Shift (with additional loadings).
- Technically and mechanically minded
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- A strong focus on safety
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Interest in building a long‑term career in maintenance or industrial operations
Direct previous experience or trade qualifications are not required — attitude, motivation, and commitment are what matter most.
