This is a role with real reach. As Koch Fertilizer Australia continues to grow, the Terminal Operations Specialist will play an important role in optimising how product moves into, through and out of our terminals, while protecting product quality and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
You will work closely with our 3PL partners to understand terminal operations, equipment and loading/unloading processes, identify operational challenges and drive improvements that help product move safely, efficiently and reliably through the network. No two days will look the same. You’ll support terminal optimisation initiatives, lead quality variations end to end, identify opportunities to improve operational processes and develop training that helps prevent problems from recurring.
Working alongside our 3PL partners within our Principle Based Management® (PBM) environment, your impact will come from the relationships you build, your understanding of operations and your ability to turn opportunities into practical improvements. We are looking for someone with a collaborative, hands‑on approach who understands operational environments and is motivated to continuously improve how work gets done.
Our Team
We are a small team, and every role plays an important part in how we deliver for our customers. Your contribution will be valued and visible.
You will be part of the Operations Team, reporting to the GM Operations and working closely with Supply and Capacity Planning, Marketers, Customer Experience and our 3PL partners to support terminal operations, optimisation, quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Identify opportunities to improve product flow through terminals while balancing operational requirements, product quality and customer expectations.
- Manage quality variations from initial reporting through investigation, resolution, monitoring and closure.
- Develop and maintain training programmes that build operational capability across the network and prevent recurrence.
- Prepare KPI reporting and provide timely, accurate communication to customer‑facing teams and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of quality systems, operational processes and standards.
- Travel to terminals as required to understand operations firsthand, support continuous improvement initiatives and build strong working relationships.
- Leverage AI, digital tools and technology to identify opportunities, streamline processes and drive improvements across operational systems and ways of working
