About the Company:

Located in the northern Brisbane suburb of Bald Hills, PM Aged Care is a 60 bed facility providing highly accredited residential and respite care for over 25 years. Offering a safe and welcoming home for all our residents, our mission has always been to have a positive impact on the well being of our residents and to care and support one another like family.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Officer 3 days a week (part time or casual) to develop quality, compliance, governance and resident outcomes.

Reporting to the General Manager you will support a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that care and services are evidence-based, and responsive to individual needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Coordinate accreditation processes, audits, and regulatory submissions
  • Maintain and review policies, procedures, and governance systems
  • Ensure documentation meets legislative and organisational requirements
  • Lead and coordinate continuous improvement activities across the service
  • Analyse quality indicators (e.g., incidents, complaints, clinical data)
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions
  • Oversee incident management systems, including reporting, investigation, and follow-up
  • Support risk assessments and mitigation strategies

About you

  • Relevant qualification in Nursing, Health, Quality or related field
  • Current Police Check
  • Experience in aged care quality, compliance or clinical governance
  • Sound knowledge of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Strong understanding of risk management and continuous improvement systems
  • Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking
  • Ability to analyse data and drive improvements
  • Commitment to person-centred and culturally safe care
  • Have sound knowledge of different relevant IT systems for example Microsoft Office
