Cost Modelling Analyst (Program Investment) | Part-Time - $850 per day + Super | 3 Days per Week | 6-Month NSW Government Project | Network Digital Team

Duration: 6 months
Rate: $850 per day + super
Hours: Part-time, initially 3 days / maximum 24 hours per week
Maximum: 8 hours per day

- An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Program Investment Cost Modelling Analyst an initial 6-month contract. This is a part-time role, initially 3 days per week, supporting a significant regulatory program across ICT and Operational Technology portfolio.
MUST HAVE :
Working across multiple Program Briefs, you will develop and maintain an overarching cost model, assess investment options and provide robust cost, benefit and Net Present Value (NPV) analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain an overarching financial and cost model across ICT and Operational Technology Program Briefs.
- Cost up to three investment options for individual Program Briefs.
- Undertake detailed cost-benefit and NPV analysis.
- Identify and quantify tangible and non-tangible benefits.
- Establish modelling assumptions covering discount rates, indexation and assessment periods.
- Consolidate and reconcile historical actuals, current expenditure and future forecasts across FY20-34.
- Develop clear, structured and auditable financial models.
About You
- Extensive hands-on experience developing and quality-assuring complex financial or investment cost models.
- Strong experience with cost-benefit analysis and NPV modelling.
- Proven experience preparing investment costings and benefits analysis for business cases, major programs or regulatory submissions.
- Advanced Excel skills, with experience developing robust, transparent and auditable models.
- Strong knowledge of discount rates, indexation, assessment periods and financial modelling assumptions.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to reconcile large and complex financial datasets.
- A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience within utilities, energy, regulated networks, infrastructure or major capital programs will be highly regarded.
