Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Ab Initio Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Ab Initio, ETL/Data Engineering, Unix/Linux, Shell Scripting, SQL, and Oracle.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting high-quality data integration solutions, while also providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and mentoring to team members.

Key Responsibilities \n

\n
• Design, develop, test, debug, and deploy Ab Initio ETL/data integration solutions.
\n
• Work across batch and continuous data flows.
\n
• Develop and maintain complex data pipelines and integration processes.
\n
• Perform technical troubleshooting and provide Level 3 production support.
\n
• Analyse and resolve complex data and application issues.
\n
• Mentor team members and provide technical guidance.
\n
• Estimate development effort for new features and enhancements.
\n
• Apply industry-standard development, coding, testing, and data engineering practices.
\n
• Contribute to continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
\n
• Develop comprehensive test coverage and ensure high-quality software delivery.
\n

Mandatory Skills & Experience \n

\n
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio and data engineering/ETL.
\n
• Strong experience with Ab Initio products, EME, and development frameworks.
\n
• Strong Unix/Linux and Shell Scripting experience.
\n
• Experience working with both Batch and Continuous Flows.
\n
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS, Oracle, and SQL.
\n
• Experience with data integration and ETL tools/frameworks.
\n
• Strong understanding of MQ, REST APIs, and Kafka integrations.
\n
• Experience with AWS Cloud.
\n
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and pipeline development.
\n
• Experience with Jenkins, TeamCity, and Ab Initio EME.
\n
• Programming experience in Python and/or Java.
\n
• Strong DevOps and production support experience.
\n
