Resort Management Couple

Wollongong Surf Leisure Resort is looking for an experienced management couple with complementary skills to join its senior management team.

Ideally, you will already have experience in resort management, caravan parks, holiday parks, accommodation operations or a similar environment, and understand the variety, pace and hands-on nature of running a guest-focused property.

For one of you, we’re particularly interested in a background across building, construction, project management, facilities or maintenance.

For the other, we’re looking for strong administration, customer service, reception, reservations and front-of-house capability.

You don’t need to come from the same career background. In fact, the combination of your individual strengths is exactly what we’re looking for.

The roles

One partner will take the lead across the resort’s physical operation, including:

• Building, maintenance and improvement projects
• Contractors, trades and suppliers
• Preventative maintenance and facilities
• Project planning, priorities and budgets
• Leading and coordinating maintenance activity

The other partner will focus more broadly on resort operations, including:

• Reception, reservations and guest service
• Administration and office coordination
• Staff and housekeeping support
• Customer enquiries and issue resolution
• WHS, training and compliance administration
• Supporting group and conference operations

What we’re looking for

Between you, we’d ideally like to see:

• Previous resort, caravan park, holiday park or similar accommodation management experience
• Building, construction, facilities or project-management capability
• Strong administration and customer-service skills
• Experience leading people
• Confidence managing contractors and suppliers
• Good organisation, judgement and communication
• A practical, hands-on approach to running a busy operation

Candidates from closely related hospitality, property or facilities environments will also be considered where the skills transfer strongly.

What’s in it for you?

The combined salary is approximately $158,000 plus superannuation, with flexibility depending on experience.

The package also includes a large three-bedroom on-site home.

You’ll work alongside another experienced management couple in a flat management structure, with genuine responsibility and the opportunity to make a visible impact on the operation.
