Community Leader (incorporated Educational Leader and Assistant Director)

Join Our Team as a Community Leader at Our Thriving Bendigo Centre!

Are you passionate about education and ready to lead with enthusiasm and vision? Our well-established Bendigo Centre is looking for a dedicated and dynamic Community Leader to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive, experienced team where you'll work alongside another Community Leader in a dual Educational Leader and Assistant Director role. Together, you'll lead quality practice, mentor educators, support the day-to-day operations of the Centre, and make a meaningful impact on children, families, and your team every day.

We understand our responsibilities and statutory duty of care and are committed toraising awareness about the importance of child safety in our organisation and our communities, whichis essential for promoting healthy and safe learning environments for children.

Qualifications

  • A Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education from a recognized institution, as outlined by ACECQA.
  • Valid Working with Children Check.
  • Accredited training in emergency response, including anaphylaxis and asthma management.
  • Child Protection training certification.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience in Early Childhood Services or a minimum of 5 years of experience working in the field.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, develop curriculums, manage administrative procedures, and liaise with parents and communities.
  • Solid understanding of WHS legislation and compliance systems, including the Child Care Subsidy (CCS).
  • Extensive knowledge of the National Quality Framework and its components
  • Willingness to assume the role of Nominated Supervisor under relevant national laws and regulations.
