Travelex is in a substantial growth period, searching for an inspiring and motivatedArea Manager to join our Retail Leadership team.Based in Sydney , you will be responsible forup to 10 stores throughout Sydney metro area and ACT.

Reporting to the NSW State Manager, the Area Manager will be responsible for the Store Leaders and Sales Consultants, supporting the coaching of all roles to achieve KPI targets. The role will motivate the store teams in maximising all initial sales and all future on-line sales. This business-critical leadership role will drive positive sales results, create and maintain a healthy workplace culture, and lead strategic change to increase profitability.

THE ROLE \n
To be successful as Area Manager you will demonstrate or possess:
\n
Strong commercial acumen and ability to apply solid commercial judgment
\n
Superior knowledge ofproduct, services and procedures including customer care sales process
\n
Drive performance by ensuring that portfolio and individual sales targets, KPIs and compliance obligationsare achieved
\n
Work with Inventory Management tomanage and control stock ensuring the right product is allocated and replenished
\n
Maintenance upkeep, training and upholdingoperational excellence , i.e. store appearance, visual merchandising, dress code and behaviour
\n
Provide timely feedback to State Manager in relation to their business area including operations and colleagues’ performance.
\n
Build and maintain collaborative, cohesive relations with the support office teams
\n
Identify talent to support growth initiative and development withsuccession planning .
\n
Manage customer complaints in a timely manner and identify trends or issues,implementing improvement and escape where required
\n
Conduct regular one-to-one performance reviews with direct reports to provide feedback andidentify areas of improvement across all reporting levels
\n
Cultivate aninclusive, inspirational environment through consistent team recognition
\n

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE \n
Our next Area Manager will possess:
\n
Ability toengage and present persuasively to Senior Management
\n
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a multi-site manager with a proven track record leading and managing 5 plus retail stores across a geographic spread
\n
Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data insights andidentify business and commercial risks and opportunities
\n
Demonstrated experience andcapability with change management , successfully leading teams through ambiguity
\n
Strong influencing, negotiating and communications skillsboth written and verbal
\n
Continued presence amongst all locations and shifts in this highly visible role.
\n
Retail sales background is highly preferred for this role.
