GTES is seeking a motivated person to undertake a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprenticeship, hosted with Daimler Trucks in Albury.
Daimler Trucks was recognised by Training Services NSW as the NSW Small Employer of the Year for its commitment to apprentices and trainees.
Alongside your formal TAFE studies, you will receive ongoing brand-specific technical training, giving you the opportunity to build specialist knowledge and develop into a highly skilled tradesperson.
About the apprenticeship
You will complete a nationally recognised AUR31120 Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology while gaining practical experience working on heavy commercial vehicles.
Working alongside experienced technicians, you will learn to:
- Service, maintain and repair heavy vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
- Use specialist tools and diagnostic equipment
- Inspect engines, braking, steering and suspension systems
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop
- Complete your TAFE and workplace training requirements

- Sound math's and English skills
- Physically fit and comfortable undertaking practical work
- Reliable, punctual and committed to learning
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Positive attitude and willingness to receive feedback
- Ability to work safely and contribute to a team
- Commitment to completing the apprenticeship and becoming a qualified tradesperson
- Driver's licence and reliable transport preferred
