Manage electrical distribution projects from design through to construction and close-out

Tridec Services is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team based in Springvale.

This role will suit an organised and proactive project professional who enjoys coordinating multiple stakeholders, maintaining project momentum and taking ownership of projects from initial design through authority approvals, construction, auditing and final close-out.

Experience within Victoria’s electrical distribution industry would be highly regarded; however, we’re also open to candidates with strong project management experience from engineering, utilities, infrastructure or a related technical environment.

About the role

Working alongside our Design, Engineering and Field Services teams, you’ll coordinate a diverse portfolio of electrical distribution projects across Victoria.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing projects through design, authority approval, construction, auditing and close-out
• Developing and maintaining project programmes, priorities and key milestones
• Coordinating designers, engineers, detailers, contractors and other project stakeholders
• Liaising with Victorian electricity distribution businesses, councils, clients and construction contractors
• Monitoring project progress and proactively following up outstanding actions, approvals and deliverables
• Coordinating site inspections, project meetings and construction activities as required
• Managing project correspondence, documentation, records and reporting
• Identifying project risks, delays and dependencies and escalating issues where required
• Monitoring project scope, variations and commercial requirements
• Maintaining strong client relationships and providing clear, timely project updates
• Supporting audit, handover and project close-out processes
• Working closely with internal teams to ensure projects progress efficiently and meet client requirements

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of a portfolio of projects while maintaining strong communication and attention to detail.

You’ll ideally have:

• A qualification in Project Management, or relevant equivalent experience
• Previous project coordination or project management experience
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence liaising with clients, contractors, authorities and technical personnel
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and progress outstanding actions
• High attention to detail and accurate record keeping
• Competency with Microsoft Office and project tracking/reporting systems
• A current Victorian driver’s licence

Previous experience with Victorian electrical distribution networks, utilities, electrical infrastructure, engineering or construction will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Knowledge of Victorian Distribution Businesses and their design, construction, auditing and approval processes would be particularly advantageous.
