Your New Role

An exciting opportunity is available for a proactive and organised People & Culture Coordinator to join our People & Culture team in our Sydney office. This is a full-time parental leave cover role until June 2028.

Your Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the People & Culture team, you will help deliver responsive and practical services across the firm. This varied role offers hands‑on experience across the employee lifecycle and the opportunity to contribute to recruitment, onboarding, employee documentation, reporting, systems and broader people initiatives.

  • Acting as the first point of contact for People & Culture queries and managing the shared inbox, escalating complex or sensitive matters as required
  • Coordinating recruitment activities, including posting job adverts, arranging interviews, candidate management, preparing documentation and completing pre‑employment checks
  • Coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes to provide a smooth and positive employee experience
  • Preparing employment contracts, variation letters and other employee documentation accurately and within required timeframes
  • Maintaining employee records and People & Culture systems, ensuring information is accurate, complete and handled confidentially
  • Coordinating probation reviews, performance review activities and other key employee lifecycle processes
  • Assisting with training coordination and learning and development activities
  • Preparing regular reports and maintaining accurate workforce data to support People & Culture planning and decision‑making
  • Supporting wellbeing, engagement, recognition, staff anniversary celebrations, community initiatives and other initiatives that contribute to a positive employee experience
  • Assisting with People & Culture projects, system improvements and the ongoing review of processes and documentation
  • Providing general administrative support to the People & Culture team and contributing to the smooth delivery of services across the firm

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this opportunity, it is a requirement that you have:

  • At least three years’ HR administration experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • An eagerness to learn about and use AI tools to improve efficiency and ways of working
  • A genuine interest in People & Culture
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgement
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy team environment
  • A helpful, approachable and collaborative working style
  • Experience in a professional services environment, ideally legal or IP
  • Experience with a Human Resource Information System (HRIS), ideally ELMO
