The opportunity
The Coordinator Property & Leasing plays a key leadership rolewithin the Strategic Property team, providing strategic,technical and people leadership across Council's propertyleasing and licensing functions. This position is responsiblefor ensuring strong governance, compliance and commercialoutcomes while leading a high-performing team that managesCouncil's diverse property portfolio and leasing arrangements.
What you’ll do
- Lead,coach and develop the Property & Leasing team.
- Provideexpert advice on leasing, licensing and propertymanagement matters.
- Negotiate, implement and administer lease and licenceagreements.
- Maintain policies, procedures and governance frameworksto support compliance and consistency.
- Monitorlease and licence income through audits and financialoversight to support accountability and riskmanagement.
What you need to succeed
- Tertiary qualification in Property or a relateddiscipline.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability tobuild and motivate teams.
- Extensive experience in property leasing and licensing,ideally within local government.
- Strongknowledge of local government leasing requirements,Crown land management and the Retail Leases Act2003.
- Experience managing budgets, financial processes andcommercial outcomes.
- Flexibility to fulfil the requirements of the roleoutside standard business hours, including attendanceat Council, committee, stakeholder & communitymeetings, as required.
