About the Role

We are seeking an experienced NV1 cleared On-Site Technician to join our team and provide high-quality desktop support and technical assistance at a customer site.

As the face of Fujitsu at the customer location, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of end-user technology, resolving technical issues efficiently, and delivering a high level of customer service.

The ideal candidate will have strong desktop support experience, excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Desktop Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide on-site Level 1/Level 2 desktop and technical support to end users.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system and connectivity issues.
  • Install, configure and maintain desktop computers, laptops, peripherals and other IT equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance, software updates and system upgrades.
  • Assist users with technical issues and provide clear guidance on IT-related matters.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate technical teams.

Customer Service & Communication

  • Act as the primary on-site technical contact for the customer.
  • Provide professional, responsive and customer-focused IT support.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and end users.
  • Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
  • Keep customers informed of progress and expected resolution timeframes.
  • Document incidents, requests, troubleshooting steps and resolutions accurately.

Problem Solving & Incident Management

  • Investigate technical issues and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve unexpected technical challenges.
  • Work independently while knowing when to seek assistance or elevate issues.
  • Identify recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement of support services.
  • Follow established IT service management processes, procedures and security requirements.

Desirable

  • Experience working in a customer-facing on-site support environment.
  • ITIL or similar service management experience.
  • Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft or ITIL.
  • Experience working within a large enterprise or government environment.
  • NV1 Required
