Job Description

DWS is seeking a Solutions Architect with demonstrated prior experience in banking or financial services environments to join a high-performing team supporting a leading Australian financial services organisation. This is a business-facing role and banking experience is essential , requiring strong engagement with senior stakeholders and the ability to translate complex business needs into well-architected, scalable technology solutions aligned to enterprise strategy and target-state architecture\n

What you'll be doing: \n

\n
• Engage with business stakeholders to elicit, clarify and shape requirements within banking contexts
\n
• Translate requirements into end-to-end solution architectures aligned to target-state platforms
\n
• Provide solution recommendations leveraging enterprise banking platforms, standards and roadmaps
\n
• Act as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring alignment and delivery feasibility
\n
• Drive solutions from concept through to implementation with minimal supervision
\n
• Collaborate with engineering, platform and delivery teams to ensure execution success
\n
• Contribute to architectural governance and adherence to enterprise standards
\n

What you'll bring: \n

\n
• Proven experience operating as a Solutions Architect in banking or financial services environments
\n
• Strong cloud architecture capability across AWS, Azure and/or GCP
\n
• Deep understanding of enterprise and banking architecture frameworks, patterns and best practices
\n
• Ability to translate business and regulatory needs into practical, scalable solutions
\n
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
\n
• A self-driven mindset with confidence operating in complex, regulated environments
\n

Nice to have: \n

• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise transformation programs
\n
• Familiarity with large Australian banking platforms or architectures
\n
