Our client is an engineering and construction business working across transport, defence and major infrastructure. It combines project delivery expertise with a focus on collaboration, technical improvement and sustainable outcomes.
The Opportunity
Join the commercial team delivering a major solar development in Central Queensland. This site-based position is suitable for local applicants or those flying from Brisbane on a 14-days-on, seven-days-off roster. You will support project leadership, engineers and supervisors with day-to-day subcontract administration.
Your Responsibilities
• Manage subcontract packages from award to final account.
• Assess progress claims and variations and prepare payment recommendations.
• Control contractual correspondence and package compliance.
• Support cost forecasting and commercial performance reports.
• Resolve commercial interfaces with subcontractors and construction teams.
Requirements
Skills, Education and Requirements
• A degree in Business, Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• At least five years administering contracts on major civil, construction, mining, energy or renewable projects.
• Practical experience administering subcontract packages during construction.
• Strong understanding of progress payments, variations and subcontract commercial controls.
• Clear communication and effective site-team relationships.
