Contracts Manager - Solar Infrastructure
Location: Sydney, NSW.

Our client is an engineering and construction business working across transport, defence and major infrastructure. It combines project delivery expertise with a focus on collaboration, technical improvement and sustainable outcomes.
The Opportunity
Lead upstream contract management for a major solar construction development in regional New South Wales. Reporting to commercial leadership, you will protect project entitlements and margins while maintaining a constructive relationship with the principal client. Regular travel to the regional project site is required.
Your Responsibilities
• Own head-contract obligations, deliverables and notice compliance.
• Develop commercial strategies to manage risk, maximise entitlements and improve project returns.
• Lead upstream variations, extensions of time and commercial claims.
• Represent the project in client commercial discussions and negotiations.
• Advise delivery teams on contractual risks and opportunities.
• Prepare commercial reports, forecasts and cash-flow information.
• Manage early dispute avoidance and resolution while protecting the contractual position.
Requirements
Skills, Education and Requirements
• Extensive contract or senior commercial management experience with Tier 1/2 heavy civil, infrastructure or renewable energy contractors.
• A strong record managing complex head contracts and client-side commercial negotiations.
• Large solar, wind or BESS project experience is advantageous.
• Ability to translate contract provisions into practical delivery advice.
• Strong analytical judgement, negotiation and relationship management.
• Willingness to travel regularly to regional NSW.
