About the Role: \n
\nWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client’s small and agile team.\n
\nThis itinerant role will focus on providing professional engineering services across mining,\n
\ncontainer handling, and heavy industry sectors.\n
\nYour primary responsibility will involve engineering management and equipment compliance\n
\nauditing---spanning mining operations, container terminals, and heavy earthmoving equipment.\n
\nYou will collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, mining companies, container terminal\n
\noperators, and equipment OEMs to ensure safety compliance and operational excellence.\n
\nThis role offers a unique opportunity to work across diverse heavy industry environments while\n
\nadvancing asset management and reliability improvement methodologies. Self-motivation,\n
\nstrong technical expertise, and willingness to travel are essential.\n

Key Responsibilities: \n
\nDevelop and review engineering management and safety management system coordination\n
\nConduct equipment compliance auditing to Australian and International Standards\n
\nPerform ongoing inspection and reporting of critical infrastructure including container\n
\n cranes\n
\nLead technological improvement projects and small works packages\n
\nDevelop equipment specifications and support asset management projects\n
\nProvide onsite engineering support, relief work, and statutory engineering coverage\n
\nCreate budget estimates and project scoping for engineering initiatives\n
\nFacilitate and review risk assessments across multiple client sites\n
\nSupport mobile and fixed equipment procurement processes\n

Qualifications: \n
\nMinimum 5+ years' experience in electrical works (combination of industrial trade and\n
\n engineering)\n
\nExpertise in heavy industry electrical systems (mining and container handling\n
\n equipment)\n
\nDiploma to Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering\n
\nDemonstrated knowledge of WHS legislation and Australian Standards for heavy\n
\n industry\n
\nExperience with 3+ years of mine site or container terminal (port) operations\n
\nProject management and supervision experience with budget and schedule\n
\n development\n
\nStrong interpersonal communication and technical report writing skills\n
\nMust be eligible for MSIC clearance and able to pass drug/alcohol and police checks\n
Highly Regarded Additional Qualifications: \n
\nPracticing certificate – Electrical Engineer (Under WHS Mines and Petroleum Sites\n
\n Regulation 2014)\n
\nCPEng, NER and/or RPEQ certifications\n
\nAsset management software experience\n
\nReliability investigations and defect management expertise\n
\nSite engineering experience (underground, open-cut, or fixed plant processing)\n
\nPort operations engineering expertise\n
\nRisk assessment facilitation and development skills\n
