VR GP Clinical Supervisor – West Bundaberg, QLD

West Bundaberg Medical Centre is seeking an experienced Vocationally Registered General Practitioner (VR GP) to join our established practice in Bundaberg West.

This is an opportunity for a GP who wants to combine clinical practice with the supervision and mentoring of junior doctors/GP registrars, while working in a long-established community medical centre with strong local demand.

• 70% of gross billings

• $200/hour minimum guarantee for the first 3 months – whichever is higher

• Flexible part-time or full-time arrangements

• Minimum 2.5 days per week on-site

• Opportunity to increase sessions if desired

• No weekend requirement

• Experienced nursing, reception and practice-management team

• Modern computerised practice

• Located directly opposite Bundaberg Base Hospital

• Strong opportunity for an experienced GP interested in clinical supervision and teaching

You will have the autonomy to manage your own patients while being supported by an experienced practice team.

The practice provides comprehensive general practice services across a broad community patient population, including preventive health, chronic disease management, acute presentations, health assessments and routine general practice.

The practice has been serving the Bundaberg community for decades and has an established patient base, including multigenerational families.

A key component of this position is providing on-site clinical supervision for at least 2.5 days per week.

This would suit a GP who enjoys:

• Teaching and mentoring junior doctors

• Supporting GP registrars and developing clinicians

• Providing practical clinical guidance

• Contributing to a supportive medical team

• Taking on a modest leadership/educational role alongside clinical work

Previous formal GP supervision experience is highly regarded, but doctors who are interested in developing their supervisory role are encouraged to enquire.

West Bundaberg Medical Centre is an established community practice with:

• 3 treatment rooms

The practice is currently operating as a bulk-billing medical centre, providing accessible care to the local community.

We are seeking a VR GP with Specialist Registration with AHPRA, ideally with:

• FRACGP and/or FACRRM

• Previous GP supervision/teaching experience, or an interest in developing this

• Strong communication and clinical skills

• A collaborative approach to working with junior doctors and the wider practice team
