About the role \n
\n
This is a hands on, stand alone, people focused HR role with the opportunity to take ownership of a broad range of HR responsibilities.
\n
\n
The successful person will work closely with management, payroll and the wider team to improve HR processes, implement policies and procedures, and help drive a payroll system update.
\n
\n
Key responsibilities will include:
\n
\n

\nSupporting the business through a payroll system update and helping drive the project through to completion.
\n - Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures. \n
\nManaging onboarding and employee processes.
\n
\nKeeping HR projects and initiatives on track.
\n
\nProviding practical, hands-on HR support to managers and employees.
\n
\nSupporting employee relations and maintaining strong workplace relationships.
\n
\nEnsuring HR processes remain consistent across multiple locations.
\n
\nAssisting with award interpretation and compliance, particularly the Retail Award.
\n
\nHelping improve and maintain HR systems and processes as the business continues to grow.
\n
\nTravelling between locations when required.
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
About you \n
\n
You don't need to be the most experienced HR professional in the market. We're looking for someone who is practical, personable and confident enough to take ownership.
\n
\n
You will ideally have:
\n
\n
- \n
\nExperience in a generalist HR, People & Culture or similar role.
\n
\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.
\n
\nA hands-on and practical approach.
\n
\nThe ability to build relationships across a diverse workforce.
\n
\nExcellent organisation and project management skills.
\n
\nConfidence working independently and taking initiative.
\n
\nStrong IT skills and an ability to learn and implement new systems.
\n
\nExperience with onboarding and policy development.
\n
\nAn understanding of employment awards, ideally including the Retail Award.
\n
\nThe flexibility to travel between locations when required.
\n
\nA genuine interest in people and creating positive employee experiences.
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Working arrangements \n
\n
- \n
\nFull-time, 40 hours per week.
\n
\nOffice-based role with the flexibility to work from home a couple of days per week.
\n
\nFlexible start and finish times.
\n
\nThe business generally finishes at 4:30pm, with operations starting as early as 6:00am.
\n
\nTravel between sites may be required.
\n
\n
