About the Opportunity \n
\nWe are partnering with a global financial services organisation seeking a Payroll Officer to join their Payroll team on a fixed-term contract during a period of project activity.\n
\nThis role sits within a busy and collaborative payroll function, supporting the accurate and timely processing of payroll across a multi-entity environment. You will play an important role in ensuring payroll data integrity, compliance and service delivery across the employee lifecycle.\n

Key Responsibilities \n
Payroll Processing & Data Management \n
- \n
- Support the accurate processing of payroll in line with established payroll cycles \n
- Maintain payroll data including: \n
- New starters \n
- Employee changes and rate adjustments \n
- Terminations and final pay processing \n
- Allowances, deductions, tax and superannuation updates \n
- Validate employee onboarding and termination data within payroll cycles \n
- Ensure payroll schedules and employee records are accurately maintained in the system \n

Payroll Checking & Compliance \n
- \n
- Perform payroll checks and validations to ensure accuracy and data integrity \n
- Review payroll inputs and calculations and support variance reporting \n
- Assist in identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies in a timely manner \n
- Validate timesheets, overtime, reimbursements and other variable payments \n
- Support compliance with Australian taxation, superannuation and employment legislation \n
Employee & Stakeholder Support \n
- \n
- Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner \n
- Escalate complex payroll issues where required, ensuring clear communication and follow-through \n
Systems & Process Support \n
- \n
- Use Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to support end-to-end payroll processing activities \n
- Follow established payroll processes to ensure audit compliance and data accuracy \n
- Support the payroll team with BAU and project-related tasks as required \n
About You \n
\nTo be successful in this role, you will bring: \n
- \n
- Approximately 1+ years' experience in Australian payroll \n
- Strong understanding of taxation, superannuation and leave entitlements \n
- High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy \n
- Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven payroll cycle environment \n
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with payroll data \n
- Exposure to Oracle E-Business Suite or similar ERP payroll systems \n
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach \n
